Hi, I’m Jim Egan, and I’m so glad you’re here. My life’s journey has been anything but straightforward, but every step—both the highs and the lows—has led me to this moment of serving God through Life Lines Christian Ministry.  I was born in Chicago, baptized, and raised in the Roman Catholic faith. Like many families, we attended church occasionally, mostly for holidays and family events. But at the age of six, my world was turned upside down when my father passed away unexpectedly. His loss left me broken, confused, and feeling spiritually adrift. In the years that followed,  my heart drifted farther away from God.  As an adult, I chased what the world told me would make me happy: money, status, and material success. I embraced a “you only live once” lifestyle, focused on all the wrong things. But the more I gained, the emptier I felt. I was, as the song goes, looking for love—and purpose—in all the wrong places. Then, in November 2018, everything changed. 

On the day after Thanksgiving, I experienced a life-threatening medical emergency while working in Naas, Ireland. What began as chest pain turned into a harrowing journey to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with a severe heart blockage known as the “widow maker.”  In that ambulance ride, faced with the very real possibility of dying, I prayed to God for the first time in years. I asked for forgiveness and pleaded for another chance. And in that moment of desperation, I felt God’s presence in a way I never had before. His voice was clear: “Do not worry. I love you. I have you. You are safe.”

By God’s grace, I survived that day. More than that, I was reborn. I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and vowed to live every day with and for Him. Ezekiel 36:26 says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” This verse became my reality.

Today, I am an ordained minister, certified professional life coach, and founder of Life Lines Christian Ministry. Through this ministry, I am using the spiritual gifts God gave me to fulfill my God-given purpose: to encourage and support others as they grow in love, faith,  and life. I am blessed to share this journey with my best friend and wife, Tracy. Together, we strive to live out God’s calling and make His love known. My spiritual gift of Exhortation guides me in encouraging others to grow closer to God and achieve the dreams He has placed in their hearts.

I understand what it feels like to be lonely, hopeless, or stuck in a life or career that feels unfulfilling. I know what it feels like to not quite fit in. To feel that deep longing for something more meaningful. To want to live out my life's true purpose and make a lasting difference for my family and others. That’s why Life Lines exists.
